Companion/Magistrate

One of my favorite things these days is going into a virtual world and traveling in the Gorean sims. Among these sims I am the Magistrate of Fina, a true honor and challenge. Thankfully I have earned the respect of a fair number of the men in the City.

Monday I because the High Magistrates companion. It was a short celebration, but with the Magistrates schedule it was hard to get that much time in. The Head Scribe was available so we quickly had a small service. There was the three of us and the one witness which is all that is required. We drank the wine and it was so. The Magistrate has shown himself to be a very wise man and I learn a lot from him. Unfortunately that schedule has taken him away from Fina to many times.

To this I have discovered that I am the main Magistrate and have had to handle a number of things that I had not anticipated. Walking between two fighting warriors would rank as one of the top things I don't ... yet do enjoy. Every day that I have been in those kind of situation and walked away with my head still attached and no collar around my neck I feel that has been a good day.

Unfortunately the way that things went we were unable to go to Sais. I do hope we are able to do that soon and I would like to see my friend Lotus and renew discussions with the Magistrate of the city.

The day ended with the High Magistrate being called off for a discussion with one of the warrriors. Thankfully I was not excluded and appreciated that gesture from the High Magistrate since I am on more often and handle most of the work load. This is a puzzling case though because the data of proof was from back on the 15th, over two weeks old. Why was it brought forth now.

The other matter, Murat has taken away and is dealing with it so I will need to follow up with him as to what happened. This will work out well because I do need to get back to him about the civil guard for the city.

Life as a Magistrate rarely slows. Besides that there were visits from friends. So it was a pleasant evening.

FYI: It is fun being mistaken for a lawyer.
